George M. Cohan began on vaudeville at the age of 13, performing in shows and honing his craft. Over time, Cohan earned accolade upon accolade for his original, exciting compositions, including “Give My Regards to Broadway” and “Yankee Doodle Dandy.” At his pinnacle, Cohan was the first performer from popular theater to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.
